both members have an extensive career in playing in failed bands.
They met and bonded while playing for a John Elson creation,
The Gerbs: A local phenomenon.
The Gerbs set out to play weddings intermingeled with comedy
but after a year of high dreams and a few village hall gigs with audience numbers tailing off

The Gerbs finally ended when John, now compare of Knuts walked off stage, saying he could'nt take it anymore and the lead guitarist's wife kept his equipment and moved him into a garage on his own following an excessive period of Rock and Roll living.

The Blue Genies are often briefly joined by many musicians, two of the most notable are

Kev, another bassist, dazed but interested in Avant Garde sound filters joined for a booming show in Novembers 2004 Knuts, Kev is now working on a new project with Jack and The Big Al (who can often be seen helping with the Knuts sound system), all formerly of Aberation.

Gill, vocals, returns at regular intervals to complement the two stalwarts with her raunchy sometimes melancholic tones

Following an early career in 7-11, Aphrodisiac Coctail, Dave and the Downtown Destroyers, and The Blue Green Aomebas, all nearly household names, Jim alias 'you can't play bass' had devoted his life to singing and learning Venezuelan Walzes.
He had initially refused to join the Gerbs but relented when the other members bought him a second hand bass and amp outfit (he had sold his own to Cash Converters after throwing it down the stairs during a now notoroius drink and drug-soaked episode that had begun in a dispute after an infamous game of strip trivial pursuit).

Charlie has played in bands of such fame as Cowgirls on Speed, Beaver Nites and The Easy Doggers and most known of all of them Ray. He also runs a web-based arts projects featuring local talent. Known for his shocking beats and fly creations Charlie alias 'Faceman' the driving force behind the drum and bass set views his dizzying fame and with typical frankness

'I love it when the groupies can't get enough of us now we've got our own VIP corner and that, especially the ones with big tits'.
