KNUT's Club
  Friday 18th November

What a brilliant night. Even the audience was wonderful - though small in number they were big in appreciation.

Papa CJ

Papa CJ

Knut says - Papa CJ really was comedy gold. He represented the Indian sub continent with an edgy line of sharp with - "We don't come over here to steal your jobs anymore, we import them."

"Papa CJ hit the stage with the confidence and stage manner of someone who really shouldn't be allowed to be that confident so early on in his stand up career. He had the crowd laughing almost instantly." - XS Malarkey

"...was magically different to anything else we had...a worthy treat e" - Essex Uni Comedy Club

"Possessing the energy and attitude of an Indian Chris Rock…" - Derek O'Brien, Frog and Bucket Manchester

Matt Rudge

Matt Rudge

King Knut expected Matt to be good - he was suggested by a Knutter who had seen him perform - he wasn't just good, he was great. There were arguments over who did the better set, Papa CJ or Matt Rudge. Who Cares - they were different and both top acts - that's a bonus.

Steve Young

Voice from America

Steve Young

This big American has a stage presence that is awesome. He grabbed the audience and didn't let go. Funny, topical and frighteningly loveable. A much more physical set than the other two - and also a top act. What a night for our Knutters

Phil Ellis: biting on the bullet !!

We believed Phil was a relative newby - well he didn't come accross like one. He had the presence and the lines. Really well observed and well delivered gags that had the audience laughing from start to finish. That made four out of four comic acts where any one would have made a successful evening.
