What a cracking good night - thanks Charters

John Elson, the Compere beyond compare - was in sparkling form and knew he was introducing a line up of talent that couldn't fail to please the lively happy crowd.

Kevin Shepherd

Kevin's set was superb. The audience loved him from start to finish. I have seen Kevin before - and he was good then - but this was beyond good - it set the tone for the evening.

When Gavin Maxwell was introduced as a Peterborough Poet you could hear the dismay of the audience. They thought they were out for an evenings entertainment - they'd just been wowed by superb comedy from Kevin Shepherd - and now some poet was reading to them! Two or three lies in and the dismay was forgotten as Gavin caught them with his Chanel 4 piece. After that he could do no wrong as he provided us with highly entertaining and insightful poetry.

Viker Biker

The Magnificent Spoondini's

live - amazing - magnetic - show had the audience wondering if they'd slipped out of reality and into the twilight zone. There aren't many acts like this around - some of the audience loved it - some didn't - but they will all remember it.

Sharon Court

did a great set - finishing with her updated version of "I will survive. This is a very funny and lady.

Karen Bailey

Delightfully saucy. Her friendly and confident stage presence combined with killer wit make her a comedic force to be reckoned with.  There were some sureal moments with an audience member who kept shouting out "Birminhum" and Karen tried to teach him to speak Brummie. She failed in that - but her set was a real success.

Juliet Myers

Juliet had fun with the audience - particularly the bald bloke with the same hair style as hers and experimented with some very promising new material intended for her show at the Edinburgh Festival.

Steve Young

This man was on fire. Nothing slipped, nothing faltered - he owned the stage and the audience. He started on a high and went up. If you haven't seen Steve perform - or even if you have - and you happen to go to the Edinburgh festival this year - don't miss him.
